A group of nurses and volunteers cheered for their fellow health workers who are assigned at the COVID-19 response and isolation units of The Medical City in Ortigas, Pasig City.
TMC head nurse Alexis Mago shared a live footage of the hospital’s chorale group called “Nightingales” together with other nurses and volunteers as they sing “Fight Song” and “Pagsubok” on Friday.
“We think of ways po to boost the morale of our fellow nurses, most especially those nurses assigned on COVID-19 floors. We came up with serenading since we can’t physically hug them,” Mago told The STAR.
According to him, some of the staff in the video are actually not on duty that day but they made an effort to come just to motivate their fellow frontliners.
“Yes both umiiyak… nasurprise po sila,” Mago said.
As of writing, the two live videos by Mago have garnered a total of 300,000 views.
“Keep fighting the battle. This is what we are called to do. Para sa Dios at Bayan, LABAN,” he said.
