President Duterte, together with his Cabinet Secretaries and officials from the local government units, boards a coaster for the windshield inspection of the Harbor Link Segment 10 area. Upon arrival at the program area, the President leads the unveiling of the NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10 Project marker.
The NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10 is a 5.65 kilometer elevated expressway that passes over Malabon, Valenzuela, and Caloocan. Built over the existing Philippine National Railways (PNR) tracks, the new NLEX section seeks to decongest traffic in the aforementioned cities and other places in Metro Manila, as well as to dramatically improve travel time for road motorists and cargo vehicles.
Prior to the event, the President also graced the groundbreaking ceremony for the NLEX-SLEX (South Luzon Expressway) Connector Road Project that links the Circumferential Road 3 (C-3) to the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) campus in Sta. Mesa, Manila.
The ceremony is attended by Build, Build, Build (BBB) executives, several officials from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and the local government units, and other stakeholders.
