The Island of Boracay to report on the latest developments and projects being undertaken by the inter-agency Task Force on Boracay Rehabilitation since its closure on April 26, 2018.
Entitled “Ang Pagbangon ng Isla”, the 10-minute documentary features the new circumferential road and similar road rehabilitation projects being installed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), as well as updates on the demolition of shanties in one of the island’s wetlands.
Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Secretary Roy Cimatu also reveals the agency’s plans to enforce a new sewer treatment plant (STP) scheme and to decongest the island.
