President Rodrigo Roa Duterte receives the proposed draft of the Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) in a turnover ceremony at the Rizal Hall in Malacañan Palace.
Handing over the proposed BBL are Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process Jesus Dureza, Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) Chairman Al Haj Ebrahim Murad, Bangsamoro Transition Commission (BTC) Chair Ghazali Jaafar and Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) Chair Yusoph Jikiri.
Senate President Aquilino Pimentel III and House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez are also present to receive the proposed BBL from the President.
The BBL serves as the legal framework for the creation of the Bangsamoro armed struggle in Mindanao.
