Former president Benigno Aquino III said he hopes the Duterte administration will continue a number of reforms he initiated, as he also remains "concerned" about work "left unfinished" during his term. “My request to you: If you believe that what we are doing is right, if you don’t want what we’ve started on the straight and narrow path to go to waste, let’s pick a leader who will continue and further improve on the reforms we’ve made,” he said. The former president, however, voiced concern about the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM), which has suffered a 4decade Muslim insurgency, as well as acts of terror.
